Common Mistakes
中国学习者最容易说错的地方
“Can I make a reservation for a doctor?”
“Can I make an appointment with a doctor?”
中文的“预约”直接翻成reservation会让人联想到餐厅或酒店，医生通常用appointment或book an appointment。
“Can you give me sick leave?”
“Can you write me a doctor's note?”
直接说'sick leave'像在要假期，英语里向医生索要证明文件时要说'doctor's note'或'medical certificate'。
“How many minutes I wait?”
“How long is the wait?”
中式语序导致'How many minutes I wait'不自然，英语习惯用'How long is the wait?'或'How long will I have to wait?'。
“My insurance is good.”
“My insurance is with [company], and I have a co-pay of $20.”
直接说'insurance is good'信息太模糊，接待员更需要具体公司、ID或共付额等细节来确认是否覆盖这次就诊。
